About Us

Improve - Transform - Impact

Change is inevitable!

Isaiah 54: 2, "Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;"

Since 1995, the Divinely Anointed School of Theology has done just that, enlarge, stretched, lengthen, and strengthen our educational objectives to meet the demand of a changing world. To this end, the graph below illustrates our story of change and improvements. So, take the journey with us, "the future belong to those who prepare for it today!"

Our Story

In 1995, Divinely Anointed School of Theology (DAST) was birthed and have undergone many changes. These changes included structural changes, organizational changes, and lesson delivery. From meeting in-person to a fully online integration.

DAST was accredited in 2019 and in 2021, it was registered and recognized by The National Accreditation and Equivalency Council (NAECOB). This is a statutory body established under the National Accreditation and Equivalency Council ACT of The Bahamas on 4th October 2006; assented on the 29th of December 2006 and came into force on the 28th of February 2007.

Building on the vision, Dr. Dorinda E. Dean, Founder and CEO of DAST, sought help from Dr. Karl Davidson to take the school in a new direction that aligns with her strategic objectives. These strategic objectives were to enhance teaching quality, make the school more accessible by employing technology and social media platform, and brand DAST as a viable option for teaching excellence and developing lives through educational pursuit and continuous educational processes.

In 2022 to the present, DAST has evolved, added more courses. From theology and the incorporation of a Teacher's Aide program, DAST is not DAST - Business & Professional Development Center or DAST-BPDC.

DAST Business & Professional Development Center will be recognized as the College of choice for Andros and the remaining Bahamian community for business & professional development. To achieve this, relevant and distinctive educational and professional programs will be offered to meet the needs of a diverse student body, nonprofit organizations, individuals, and communities at large.

Great things are coming!
